About JC Entertainment & Events
We are an Event Management and Production company that delivers quality experiences for our clients. From corporate conferences to outdoor community events, JC Entertainment & Events brings together sound, lighting, vision, and staging to create memorable experiences that inspire lasting memories.
We’re a growing team that values professionalism, initiative, and teamwork. As we continue to expand across NSW, we’re looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about production and ready to take the next step in their career.
About the Role
As a Production Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping deliver events across the Central Coast, Newcastle, Hunter, and beyond. You’ll work alongside experienced production professionals, learning every aspect of live production from warehouse preparation and equipment setup to on-site operation and pack down.
You’ll take direction from the Production Ops Manager and Senior Technicians while developing your own skills in sound, lighting, and vision. This position starts as casual, with the opportunity for growth and long-term career progression for the right person.
You’ll occasionally assist our Port Macquarie team with larger events and installations, offering a great opportunity to experience different event types and venues.
About You
You’re someone who takes pride in your work and wants to build a career in live events. You’re reliable, adaptable, and enjoy working in a team that gets the job done. You might have a year or two of experience in the industry or have worked casually in event setups, AV, or production. What matters most is your attitude — you’re eager to learn, show initiative, and take ownership of your role.
You’ll also:
- Have some practical experience in sound, lighting, or vision
- Be a team player who’s willing to take direction and support others
- Stay calm under pressure and think on your feet
- Take care of the gear and treat it as your own
- Be proactive in finding solutions when challenges arise
Tickets or licenses such as EWP, Forklift, or Truck License are a plus, but not required.
What We Offer
- A supportive, experienced team that values growth and learning
- A variety of event types — from corporate conferences to outdoor community events
- Opportunities to work across different locations including Port Macquarie
- Career progression pathways within JC Entertainment & Events for those who show dedication and drive
