JC Entertainment & Events is looking for an experienced Senior Production Technician to join our Port Macquarie team.
This position starts as a casual role, with the potential to move into a full time position after 3 months for the right candidate.

You’ll be based in Port Macquarie, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, and will occasionally travel to our Morisset warehouse to assist with larger events and productions.
The Role
This position involves working across gear preparation, on site delivery, and team leadership.
You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure events are delivered smoothly, safely, and to our company standards.
As a senior technician, you’ll play an important leadership role, setting the tone for professionalism, problem solving, and collaboration across every project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead show builds, setups, and pack downs alongside the crew
- Operate and maintain audio, lighting, and vision systems
- Support and guide other technicians both in the warehouse and on site
- Manage time effectively and meet event schedules
- Ensure all gear is prepared, labelled, and maintained to a high standard
- Communicate proactively with the Operations Manager and team members
- Represent JC Entertainment & Events professionally with clients and venues
- Travel to Morisset when required to assist with larger events and productions
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who shares our values of reliability, teamwork, and respect, and who takes pride in doing things properly.
You’ll bring:
- 3+ years of experience in live production (audio, lighting, or vision)
- Confidence leading and supporting teams
- Strong technical skills in at least two disciplines
- Hands on experience with:
- Allen & Heath consoles
- GrandMA lighting desks
- Blackmagic Vision switchers
- NovaStar LED processors, ProPresenter, and PVP
- Shure/Sennheiser wireless systems
- Playback tools and signal management
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with Current RMS and Office 365
- A valid driver’s licence
Bonus qualifications:
- MR or HR truck licence
- Forklift ticket
- EWP or rigging ticket
