It’s the best time of the year- Australian Music Month. This year, we’ve decided to do something a little different, and shine a spotlight on some of our talented JC artists.
First up, she’s a local legend on the Central Coast and highly regarded and featured musician- meet Elaskia.
Her angelic and electric pop fusion invokes ideas of nostalgia with hints of modernity- classical style keyboard blends with punchy drumbeats, layered with mature and thoughtful lyricisms dealing with romance, love, and life.
It’s the kind of music that is best served over summer on a warm afternoon, with raw and emotional vocals taking you on a peaceful journey.
She has been compared to artists like Vera Blue, Amy Shark and Olivia Rodrigo- and for good reason. Her raw, powerful vocals take centre stage in her songs, backed by synth driven and catchy beats.
Whilst her music may seem mellow, her live performances certainly are not. Her versatility and skill as a musician are recognised when you watch her perform, bringing her songs to life with a tight live band and an electrifying energy.
With great success in her song writing, her original song 'Calling Out My Name' was featured in the popular Netflix series 'DYNASTY' and 'MARVEL'S RUNAWAYS' and her single 'I Will Do Anything' landed in an episode of 'Home and Away' and the September Issue of 'Total Girl Magazine'. In 2019 Elaskia’s single ‘Calling Out My Name’ was announced in ballot one for the Grammys® along with Elaskia’s featured track with artist and producer GEM ‘Rich Girl (Remix)’ which was also featured in the Billboard magazine Grammy edition.
Her list of accolades goes on, having shared a stage with RÜFÜS DU SOL, Peking Duk, Gang of Youths, The Jungle Giants, Missy Higgins, and soon to be supporting the John Butler Trio.
She will be bringing the band to Light Up The Lake this weekend for an evening of free live music at Memorial Park, sharing a line-up with Beddy Rays, The Rions, Le Shiv, and Sitting Down as part of a JC Entertainment lineup.
